ABOUT ME

Hi, I’m Lucia Shen, a designer, storyteller, and curious human who loves blending creativity with technology. Born in China, raised in Canada, and now studying at the University of Washington, I’m exploring how design, empathy, and innovation can shape better digital experiences for everyone.

My background in Advertising and Digital Art Communication taught me how to think strategically and design with emotion. I’ve worked as a UX/UI designer and product marketing specialist at AI startups and in the retail industry, where I design intuitive interfaces, lead research and content strategies, and turn ideas into products people actually enjoy using.

I’m drawn to projects that sit at the intersection of art, interaction, and purpose—from building an AI-powered fashion app for colorblind users to designing immersive XR games and interactive books that make learning more human.

Outside of design, you’ll probably find me listening to J-rock, sketching, or watching anime for “research.” I believe creativity thrives when you stay curious, open-minded, and just a little bit nerdy.
